MORE than 900 fines have now been handed out by police in North Yorkshire under coronavirus legislation.
As of May 11 North Yorkshire Police had issued 926 fixed penalty notices. Of those, 351 had previously come to the attention of the police with 179 in York of which 147 were local. In Selby those figures were 76 and 19 and in Ryedale 19 and six.
