A MALTON business owner is donating health and beauty care packages to frontline workers.

Suzanne Thorneycroft, owner of The Serenity Massage, decided to help after seeing NHS staff sustaining sores and bruises from wearing protective equipment.

Suzanne is delivering more than 17 care packages to York Hospital, Malton Hospital and the Abbey Residential Home in Malton, where her daughter, Amy Rand, is currently working as a care assistant.

“I have been so moved by the selflessness of key workers, that I felt I needed to do more to help those who are facing this epidemic head-on,” said Suzanne.

“Giving something back to those whose faces and hands are raw from prolonged face mask use and hand-washing seemed only right as I was in a position to do it.”

Suzanne has raised £750 to purchase a selection of lip balms, moisturisers and facial wipes from Neals Yard Organics.

“People’s generosity and the human spirit has inspired me to want to do more,” added Suzanne.
