A DRIVER was taken to hospital after crashing into a wall.
Fire crews were called to the single vehicle accident in Easingwold at about 6.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters from Easingwold, Acomb and Ripon removed the side and roof of the car to release the female driver, who was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering abdominal and back injuries and a broken wrist.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire Service said the impact caused substantial damage to the car, but very little damage to the wall.
