THIS year's Malton Show on June 28 has been cancelled following the coronavirus outbreak.
In a statement Charlie Breese, chairman of Malton Agricultural Society.
"Due to the extenuating circumstances our whole country faces in the face of the coronavirus outbreak, the Executive Committee have agreed that this year's Show will not take place.
"It is with great sadness that we find ourselves having to make this decision, but we will all have to baton down the hatches and just look forward to the Show in 2021.
"We will be sorry not to see so many of you at the glorious Showground at Scampston Park this year, but I wish you all ongoing good health, happiness and prosperity."
Malton Show, which would have marked its 134th anniversary this year is held at Scampston Park, near Rillington.
