POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses to an assault in Pickering.

The incident took place on the Ropery between 12.50pm and 1.20pm on Saturday, February 15, and involved a man and a woman.

It is believed that three members of the public, two men and one woman, intervened in the incident and officers are appealing for them to come forward and make contact, as they may hold information which is important to the investigation.

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone else who may of witnessed the incident.
