A TRIBUTE to the British Armed Forces is happening in Scarborough.
Armed Forces Day is a celebration featuring the Red Arrows, the Royal Marine Marching Band and Sea Cadets – from June 22 to 27.
“Scarborough is incredibly honoured to have been chosen as the host town for this prestigious event, a reflection of the proud tradition with the armed services,” said Scarborough Cllr Tony Randerson.
Other events confirmed include a children’s parade involving 20 schools and live music concert at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
“Armed Forces Day is a wonderful moment in the year to celebrate our amazing military community,” said Alistair Halliday, from the Royal Forces Employment Charity.
