A DRIVER suffered a head injury and whiplash after his car came off the road and overturned in a ditch.
North Yorkshire Police say the accident happened on the northbound side of the A19 at Crathorne at about 12.05am last night.
It involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and an unknown vehicle which did not stop at the scene.
The driver of the Corsa, a 23-year-old man from Hartlepool, suffered a slight cut to his head and whiplash after his car came off the road and overturned in a ditch. He was treated by paramedics.
The car had to be recovered and the road was clear by 1.15am. The Highways Agency assisted with the incident.
Police are seeking witnesses to the collision or for the driver of the other vehicle to come forward to help the investigation.
