A MISSING man has been spotted on CCTV getting on a train from Malton.

Yesterday, North Yorkshire Police issued an urgent appeal to find 66-year-old Anthony Lane, who had gone missing from his home address in the Castlegate area of Malton. Anthony, also known as Tony, was last seen by a close friend on Sunday.

Officers have now found CCTV footage of Mr Lane boarding the 6.58am train from Malton Train Station to Liverpool Lime Street on Monday, February 17.

It is unknown where he disembarked the train but the CCTV footage shows him wearing a navy blue baseball cap, black cord trousers, brown shoes and a dark jacket. He was carrying a white Heron Frozen Foods bag and a holdall on a metal trolley.

A police spokesman said: "If anyone has any information as to his whereabouts please get in touch with North Yorkshire Police immediately as we remain extremely concerned for his welfare."
