A MALTON-based charity is hoping to reach 50 million people when it holds its seventh annual awareness day on Saturday.
The Encephalitis Society is spearheading World Encephalitis Day, which involves a global marketing campaign.
Dr Ava Easton, the charity’s chief executive, said: “World Encephalitis Day is the most important day of the year for people who have been affected by encephalitis. It is the time when we come together to shout from the rooftops about the condition and inform the public and health professionals across the world.”
