Flood warnings remain in place following Storm Ciara

In Ryedale the warnings are for the River Derwent, River Rye and River Esk.

Yesterday a number of becks were also affected including Rillington and Hovingham.

The A64 was also flooded at the bottom of Trousdale Hill between Huttons Ambo and the Welburn crossroads.

Train services were suspended by Transpennine Express (TPE) between York and Scarborough due to a fallen tree on the line.

Services were expected to be back to normal today but TPE said there may be some disruption.

A spokesperson said: "Following the unprecedented disruption to services caused by Storm Ciara during Sunday, services are expected to return to normal on Monday however, some early morning services may be subject to alteration, delay or cancellation as our team attempt to get displaced trains to the correct locations to begin the days service.

"Many trains may not have ended up at the correct depot on Sunday to enable them to be fuelled and prepared for duty.

"Continued disruption on other routes may impact our services, with services being busier than normal."

Meanwhile a number of trees were brought down.

A fallen tree blocked the road in Great Barugh and one lane of the A64 westbound near Scampston blocked by a fallen tree.

Power lines were also brought down with properties in Pickering affected.

Fire crews were called to Settrington to a fallen tree which was in danger of affected a power line.

Dalby Forest remains closed today.

A spokesperson said: "We will remain closed on Monday while we assess the site and the continued forecast of high winds over the next 24hrs. Thank you for bearing with us and we will open as soon as we can."
