THIEVES have kicked in the front door of a restaurant and then stolen a till.

The burglary happened at about 1.30am on Saturday at the premises in Queen Street in Scarborough.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “On gaining entry to the property, by kicking in the front door, an untidy search was made and the till was stolen.”

Officers are appealing for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, around the time of the burglary.
