RESIDENTS are being encouraged to give their views on Ryedale District Council’s (RDC) services and budget proposals for this year.
As a district council, Ryedale receives about 11 per cent of its income from council tax, with the remainder coming from housing benefits subsidy, fees and charges for services, business rates, a new homes bonus and other government grants.
The survey asks respondents to rate their satisfaction with a range of different services, including street cleaning, housing services, planning and leisure facilities.
It also provides respondents with a chance to comment on a proposed rise in council tax of two per cent or £5 (about 10p per week).
Anyone who wishes to respond to the survey can do so online at ryedale.gov.uk/budget2020.
The consultation ends on January 16.
