NORTON Road in Norton is currently closed to traffic due to temporary flood pumps.
The Environment Agency has brought in temporary pumps after the failure of the Mill Beck pumps failed again.
The temporary pumps are now in place and pulling water out direct into the river. The Environment Agency has engineers on the way to repair the fault.
As a result there is congestion currently on B1248 Church Street, Norton and Castlegate in Malton.
