Crews were called to a report of a fire in the roof above a wood burner at a house in Pickering
CREWS from Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Huntington were called to a report of a fire in the roof above a wood burner in a residential property in Pickering at 7.06pm yesterday (Sunday).
The fire had been extinguished by the home owner prior to the arrival of fire brigade.
The fire caused fire damage to two square metres of roof. Crews used small tools, thermal imaging camera, triple extension ladder, salvage sheets and lighting to check for any further spread of the fire and to protect the property from rain ingress.
