A NORTON-based dance school has a record number of pupils selected for one of this year’s pantomimes in York.
Thirteen youngsters from Dance Expression successfully auditioned for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the city’s Grand Opera House.
Lucy Walker, who runs the dance school, with her sister Anna Wragg, said: “This is the most children we’ve ever had with 11 babes.”
Those selected for the panto are Lily walker, Jessica Jones, Beatrice Matique, Emily Walker, Jessica Huntsman, Harriet Ward, Lola Mitchell, Alexa Johnson, Lydia Wheller, Imogen Horseman and Hollie Carter, and two seniors, Lucy Metcalfe and Maisie Jones.
Lucy said: “We also have an ex-pupil, Emma Piercy, who has been studying at college for the past three years and graduated in July this year as a professional dance, which will be lovely for the children. We are all very proud as always.”
