THE A170 at Sutton Bank has re-opened after being closed by an accident earlier today.
The road was closed at 10.20am today after the two-vehicle accident, which resulted in an oil spillage.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 10.20am today (Tuesday) we received reports of a minor two vehicle collision on the A170 Sutton Bank.
"The two vehicles have now been recovered and one of the drivers is attending the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton with minor injuries.
"The road remains closed whilst the Highways Agency clears an oil spillage resulting from the collision.
"Local diversions are in place and we advise motorists to listen to local radio for further updates on the road closure."
