AN estimated 1,000 people attended a knitting exhibition, which raised more than £2,000 for All Saints’ Church in Kirkbymoorside.
The Kirkbymoorside Wool Crafters spent two years knitting different animals for the All God’s Creatures Great and Small exhibition, which took place from October 18 to 25.
Carol Messham, the fundraising organiser, said: “Thank you to everyone involved, we received some lovely comments.”
The knitted animals will be sold at the All Saints’ Church autumn fair on Saturday and the town fair on November 30.
The wool crafters are having a break until February’s next project, A Journey into the Imagination, begins.
