EDUCATION inspectors have rated the behaviour of pupils at a village primary school as “exemplary”.
Ofsted inspectors who visited Gillamoor CE Primary School said: “Pupils are proud of their school and all were keen to describe the fantastic opportunities that they have here.”
The school was given an overall ‘good’ rating and inspectors highlighted its strength in reading, with pupils both enthusiastic about books and reading with fluency.
Interim head teacher Georgie Metcalfe said: “I am delighted to have been invited to work with this fabulous school community.
“The staff here are skilled at bringing the best out of all pupils and we are all looking forward to improving this lovely village school even more.”
