Sunny skies at Castle Howard by Jane Armitage
CASTLE Howard is hosting an autumn harvest and flower festival from tomorrow (Thursday) to Sunday.
The event will include installations inside the house using seasonal flowers and produce. Festival designer Charlotte Lloyd Webber will also be on hand to give guided tours.
Outside there will be a range with activities in the gardens, including traditional harvest games such as apple bobbing and pumpkin bowling, along with a vintage tractor display, hay bale maze and a display by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
A number of workshops and demonstrations will also take place throughout the festival, including willow weaving, gin tasting and a real-life art workshop.
