ST MICHAEL’S Church in Malton is planning a fashion show with a difference.
The clothes on show will be treasured garments from the past, accompanied by hit music from the years in question. As a backdrop there will be a rolling film show of the clothes being worn by the owners in their younger days.
Helen Shaw, one of the organisers, said: “It is intended to be a celebration of fashion over the decades with the aim of raising vital funds for the upkeep of the church building. We hope the event will be an enjoyable trip down memory lane.”
The fashion show will be held on Friday, September 27, at 7.30pm, with modelling by students from Kirkham Henry Performing Arts. Admission is £10 on the door, to include a glass of wine, and ladies attending are invited to wear their best (old) dress.
