Two horses have been rescued by firecrews
FIRECREWS have helped rescue two horses in separate incidents over the weekend.
At 7.04am on Friday, crews from Whitby, Malton, Goathland and Ripon rescued a horse stuck in a ditch near Sleights. Crews used horse rescue equipment and a tractor. The horse was left in the hands of a vet.
Meanwhiel, crews from Scarborough and Malton rescued a horse that had become stuck in a small beck due to steep banks either side at 7.31pmon SundayCrews used the animal rescue equipment from Malton and a neighbouring farm’s telehandler to lift the horse out of the beck.
