GOLFERS swung into action and chipped in to help raise more than £4,500 at Ryedale Lions Club’s annual charity golf tournament.
More than 150 players from all over Yorkshire teamed up for the golf day at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club, together with some 60 sponsors and donors.
Lions club president, Frank Hayward, also made a special donation of £200, raised from the Half-Way House refreshments stop, to the Kirkbymoorside Club Captain’s Charity.
“The golf club, players, individual donors and business supporters from the local community have all helped an awful lot of people and charities today. The Lions are very grateful for their generosity,” said Frank.
