FOSTON Primary School is celebrating its 175th anniversary with a village fun day on Sunday.
The event will include a photographic exhibition of the school’s history in the village hall. Other activities include a dog show on the school field, barbecue, refreshments and various stalls, including cakes, raffle and tombola, as well as “scones on the lawn” and Morris dancers at the White Swan pub from 3pm.
The fun day starts at 1pm and will continue until 5pm. All proceeds are in aid of the Foston Primary School and the village hall.
Helen Hall, chairman of Foston Village Hall, said: “A lot of the current pupils’ parents went to Foston Primary School and some families go back generations.
“We hope people will come along and share their memories and enjoy the day.”
