MALTON will showcase the best of the season’s produce at the Harvest Food Festival this weekend.
The free festival will see the town’s streets come alive with the sounds of local buskers and a full line-up of events for all ages to enjoy.
Attractions include cooking demonstrations from some of the region’s most renowned chefs in the Malton Cookery School, 80 producer stalls, street food vendors and entertainment, including a birds of prey display from Animal House Birds of Prey.
Demonstrations will be hosted by local chefs Apple Charlotte, from the White Skye Farm, Paul Nicholson, from Butchery Know How, Adam Jackson, from The Park, Marmadukes, Matthew Leivers, from Star Inn restaurants, and many more, staggered across the weekend.
This year will also see a new feature, The Veg Out Patch, a meat-free area for vegan and vegetarian specialists, in association with Brass Castle Brewery, which will be open from 10am until close.
The local brewery will be serving drinks from their Brass Castle Bar with an Oktoberfest style.
The festival will be open to visitors with market stalls from 9am to 4pm over the weekend and the street food court will be staying open until 9pm on Saturday as well.
