FIREFIGHTERS are giving people the opportunity to see behind the scenes at Malton Fire Station.
The station, in Sheepfoot Hill, is holding an open day on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm.
A spokesman said: “Come down and see the exciting firefighting demonstrations held throughout the day, showing the diverse array of incidents we deal with on a daily basis.
“Recruitment advice will be on hand for those of you who feel you could join us in one of the most rewarding jobs there is.”
The event will also feature children’s activities.
The spokesman added: “Come and meet the men and women who work in your community serving Ryedale.”
Free parking is available next to the fire station.
