NORTON students, families and staff members celebrated a “strong set” of results, with 76 per cent of students achieving grade 4 or above in both maths or English.
Phil Loftus, the head teacher at Norton College, said: “These results will give students the opportunity to progress to the sixth form or start a career of their choice.”
Dr Simon Carson, senior deputy at Norton College, added: “To achieve yet another set of strong results shows what can be achieved with self-belief and hard work.”
Jess Purvis, the Year 11 progress leader, summed up the feelings of the Norton College staff by saying: “We are so proud of all the students’ achievements. Many students faced additional challenges and as a year group the students have coped brilliantly.”
