THE 1st Helmsley Scout Group is celebrating 110 years of scouting this year.
If you were a beaver, cub, scout or a leader, you are invited to their celebration on Sunday, August 18, at the hut, from 10am to 3pm.
The group was first registered with the Scout Association on August 19, 1909, and is still going strong with about 60 members. The group is one of the oldest in the country.
