AN annual pop-up charity shop which helps raise funds for research into childhood diseases opens today (Thursday).

The Ryedale Action Medical Research Committee is running the shop at Middleton Village Hall. Items on sale will include books, bric-a-brac, clothes and records.

Money raised will go to Action Medical Research for Children which funds research to help defeat the diseases that devastates the lives of babies, children and young people.

Susie Taylor, from the committee, said: “We are a national charity with small local fundraising committees, and the shop is something we’ve been running every year for nearly 20 years.”

It will be open from today (Thursday) to August 12, from 10am to 4pm, and on August 13, from 10am to 1pm.
