A 95-YEAR-OLD man had to cut free from a vehicle and taken to hospital after a crash at Sutton Bank on the A170.

The three-vehicle collision, which involved a van, a 4X4 and a car, happened at 6.52pm on Friday.

Fire crews from Thirsk, Easingwold and Ripon used hydraulic spreaders to release the man from the back of the van and he was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
