A SECOND van belonging to St Leonard's Hospice has been stolen in less than a month.

The box van, registration YB12 OZS, with the 'Sponsor a Nurse' livery, was taken from the hospice car park in Tadcaster Road, York, last night.

A hospice spokesman said: “We are devastated to report that another hospice van has been stolen from the hospice car park, the second in just over three weeks after our Ford transit van was stolen in the late evening of Monday, June 10.

"We are absolutely devastated and seeking secure parking for our remaining Hospice vehicles. Please bear with us as our retail team won’t be able to operate at full capacity in the coming days. This will have a direct impact on raising funds for patient care. We will release more information if we have it once the police have been in.”

Anyone who has further information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting reference NYP 04072019 – 0115.
