EMERGENCY services have carried out a training exercise with the help of youngsters from Norton Explorers.
A fire crew from Scarborough and two on-call crews from Malton and Filey attended a road accident exercise near Cayton last Wednesday.
In addition, Yorkshire Ambulance and North Yorkshire Police sent crews to participate which enabled the different agencies to work together.
District Station manager Steven Harris, said: “We also had eight young people from Norton explorers who participated as casualties in the vehicles and provided a great deal of realism to the exercise.
“Overall the RTC exercise was a success and has further strengthened the positive working relationships between the various emergency services and provided further understanding on their roles at this type of incident.”
