RAINBOW Lane play area in Malton now has nine extra pieces of equipment - thanks to a new initiative by Malton Town Council.
The equipment includes a board rider, mega swing, rota bounce, air glider, city adventure trail, including swinging steps, wobble board, balance beam, web traverse and solar-powered I Player.
Cllr Paul Emberley, mayor of Malton, said: “These improvements at Rainbow Lane are fantastic for our kids, and they aim to increase ‘pride of place’ in our town.
“They are part of a wide range of new initiatives now being spearheaded by Malton Town Council for the benefit of everyone in our community - providing new and wide-ranging facilities that are fit for purpose and meet the physical, social and personal needs of the town’s rapidly growing population.”
