FLOWERS are the focus of this month’s feature by Kirkbymoorside and District Camera Club.
Members have been putting their photographic skills of flora to the test throughout the season in our beautiful surroundings.
The club meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Moorside Bar and Club, Shaw Drive, Kirkbymoorside, at 7.30pm. New members of all standards welcome.

Richard Kelsey - Daffodils
Daffodils and lambs are the harbingers of spring but the different varieties of narcissi can produce blooms from early February to the end of May.
Harry Kingman - Beningbrough Hall Blossom
This image was taken on a bright, cool day in March at Beningbrough Hall. The blossom looked magnificent growing on a cordon in the shelter of a wall.
Mike Chapman - Iris Sibirica
A close-up view of an example of iris sibirica, the Siberian Flag Iris, showing the delicate colouring and patterns of the flower’s petals.
Joyce Kingman - Beningbrough Hall
The magnolias at Beningbrough Hall are spectacular and this year we were lucky enough to visit on a sunny day in spring when they were at their best.
Iain Leadley - Echinicia
These echinicia were in Harlow Carr Gardens in Harrogate, they are always popular with the bees so I didn’t need to wait long for some to appear.
Liz Bassingdale - Scarlet Pimpernel
Scarlet pimpernel can be found in some of Ryedale’s more species rich margins alongside arable fields, in gardens and on road verges. Its tiny flowers close when bad weather approaches.
Lesley Clay - Yellow Flowers
This image was at Helmsley Walled Warden on one of our club evening outings.
