POLICE have released CCTV images of two people they would like to speak to following the theft of more than £900 worth of alcohol from Malton Morrisons.

Police said that a man and woman entered the Morrisons store in Castlegate at around 11.50am on May 2 and placed a large number of bottles of wines and spirits - valued at more than £900 - in two shopping bags in a trolley.

They took the security tags off the bottles in a separate aisle before leaving the store without paying for the goods.

Police said: "Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the people in the images, as they believe they will have information that will help the investigation."
