THINGS got futuristic at Pickering library when it held a pop-up Digital Makey workshop.
Virtual reality goggles, robotic Lego and miniature programmable computers were among the high-tech and hands-on objects on show last Thursday.
The event was North Yorkshire County Council’s third such workshop. The idea behind the workshops is to allow people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in putting together technical creations and explore creative design ideas.
Tech on offer included small, programmable computers such as Raspberry Pi and Micro:bits which allow people to practice basic coding.
