POLICE asked parents last night if they knew where their children were - and what they were doing - following complaints of anti-social behaviour in two York villages.

North Yorkshire Police tweeted that officers attended and spoke to a group of youths in New Earswick who were reportedly causing anti-social behaviour yesterday evening, and the group had been dispersed.

But later officers tweeted again, saying that the force was getting 'numerous reports of youths causing issues in the New Earswick / Huntington area of York.'

They then tweeted: "Do you know where you children are and what they are doing?"
