SO the York City FC board have not discussed having a testimonial for Daniel Parslow and do not intend offering one because, legally, they don’t have to (No City plan for Parslow testimonial, May 11)? How shabby and pathetic!
Ten years good service - including helping the club back into the League, three Clubman of the Year awards, hours of work promoting the club in the community - and this is how he is rewarded? With someone quoting the rulebook.
Just because something is legal doesn’t make it right. Give the lad a well deserved benefit game Mr Kilmartin.

Editor's note: With no plans for an official York City benefit game for Dan Parslow, the York City Supporters Trust has now said it will stage a charity testimonial match for the defender next spring.
