TEN local charities are set to receive £500 from Malton and Norton Lions in a second annual grant scheme.
Launching the Malton and Norton Lions Community Fund scheme, Lions president Steve Sidaway said: “After the success of last year’s Centenary Awards, we have decided to run the grants scheme again and are encouraging small local charities to apply.
“In the current economic climate it is often difficult for smaller charities to gain grant funds so we want to do our bit locally to support these groups who work so hard in Malton and Norton and contribute so much to our community by the brilliant work they do.”
