BRASS Castle Brewery Taphouse in Malton will host an event to celebrate the contribution of women to beer and art this Saturday.

Brass Castle is partnering with the Harrogate-based Women On Tap festival: WoTFest - a UK showcase of women & beer with an emphasis on the northern scene.

The flagship annual event showcases the very best in hospitality across the region, alongside creative talent and inspirational women.

Phil Saltonstall, from Brass Castle Brewery, said: "Brass Castle recently invited local women brewers to join forces and create a spruce ale for International Women’s Collaboration Brewday. That beer, alongside a number of other beers created by women brewers, will be on the bar at the Malton Taphouse at Saturday’s mini-WoTFest.

Much of Brass Castle Brewery’s recent can art is created by Leeds-based artist Claudia Bowler. Claudia will be in attendance at the Taphouse on Saturday, showcasing a range of her work, including some of the recent Bigger Picture can designs."

The event runs from midday until 10pm and is free to enter. There will also be live music and a food truck.
