Emergency crews called to chimney fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire in Thornton-le-Dale on Saturday night.
A crew from the Malton station attended the call-out to a domestic property, just after 11pm.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire Service said: “The fire was confined to pot. Crew used thermal imaging camera and squeezy bottle of water to extinguish. The cause believed to be accumulation of soot.”
