PICKERING author Paul Holbrook’s latest novel The Love of Death has been published.
Following on from the successful publication at the end of last year of the Victorian thriller Domini Mortum, Paul has turned his attentions to creating a romantic comedy set in modern day London.
“I was thinking about the saying that there is someone out there for everyone, that everyone has their perfect partner and love of their life somewhere out in the world,” said Paul, who also works for Ryedale Special Families.
“I’ve gone from writing a book that could have been written for a Hammer Horror film from the 70s to a story which is more reminiscent of something Terry Pratchett would have written.”
