A FUNDRAISING event has raised £4,695.60 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The evening, including a country singer, raffle and auction, was organised by Ken Wilson and took place at The Lion Inn in Blakey Ridge.

Ken said: “We have raised £4,695.60 consisting of a very good evening at The Lion Inn at Blakey in November, plus generous donations from local shoots, including Low End Shoot.

“I would like to thank everyone who attended and helped to raise such a fantastic amount and the fabulous prizes that were also donated for the raffle and auction.

“Special thanks to the Crossland family at The Lion Inn for their continuing support to this annual fundraiser.”

This year’s fundraiser at The

Lion Inn is on Friday, November 1.

Kevin Hutchinson, community fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: “I would also like to thank everybody involved in this fundraiser, particularly Ken Wilson and everybody at The Lion Inn for the support and help they give towards the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. It is support like this that helps the charity continue its lifesaving work across Yorkshire.”
