A MALTON teenager is fundraising towards a trip to carry out community development work in Ecuador.
Ben Flinton has volunteered for the expedition with Camp International next summer after completing his GCSEs at Malton School.
The month-long trip, which Ben needs to raise £4,240 towards, will also include environmental projects and wildlife conservation.
The 14-year-old has been supported by donations from local businesses and has also organised various fundraising events, including a bingo, raffle and cake stall at The Railway Club, in Norton, on Tuesday, March 19, starting at 7.30pm.
Ben said: “The chance to help others and make their life a little better will be really rewarding and I get to experience other cultures. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me so far.”
Anyone who wishes to help Ben on his fundraising journey can still donate through justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Benflinton
