RYEDALE District Council raised £488,000 by selling off public assets in 2016 and 2017, according to new research.
The project by the Bureau of Investigation showed that the authority sold four sites, including Ryedale Bowls Club and three properties in Weaverthorpe, Duggleby and West Lutton.
North Yorkshire County Council, meanwhile, made nearly £13m between 2014 and 2018, selling off 68 assets, including several in Ryedale.
