RYEDALE District Council is hosting an environment forum to give people a chance to work together on key green issues.

The meeting takes place at 7pm today (Wednesday) at Ryedale House in Malton.

It is part of the work being carried out by the district council’s overview and scrutiny committee to look at the climate change and how the authority can have a positive impact on national and international environmental concerns.

The session will be a chance for interested groups and individuals to consider how best to work together on these issues. These discussions will help to inform the work of the overview and scrutiny committee.

Cllr John Clark, chairman of RDC’s overview and scrutiny committee, said: “This session will be about exploring how we can work together and what our priorities need to be for Ryedale.

“This is a chance to help shape the way the council delivers its services and the policies it has in place to support the local environment, as well as our impact on global issues such as climate change and plastics waste.”
