HELMSLEY open air swimming pool has received a boost from local fundraisers.
Doreen Davenport and Sandra Race raised £2,500 through a furniture and bake sale.
Carol Swift, from the pool, said: “We are so very grateful for all the generous donations we have received. It is 50 years since the pool opened and at the moment it is having major renovation work. We have a wonderful facility here in Helmsley and would like to make sure it is here for future generations.”
The pool’s next fundraising event is a dinner dance on Saturday, April 13, at the Feathers Hotel, in Helmsley, to mark 50 years of the pool.
