A RYEDALE restaurant has been named as one of the best gastropubs in the country.
The Star Inn at Harome was placed fourth in a shortlist of the top 50 gastropubs nationally.
The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropub Awards are voted for by top foodies and hospitality experts, including gastropub operators, food writers, and hospitality industry chefs.
Andrew Pern, owner of the Star Inn, said: “To gain fourth position in the Top 50 Gastropub awards 2019 is a fantastic achievement by the whole Star Inn team.
“Having won on three previous occasions and never been out of the top five in the last 23 years of being here at Harome is absolutely brilliant news, showcasing the great local ingredients, with long-term local staff too. Long may it continue, well done all.”
