IT WAS a frustrating weekend for our local teams with only Harrogate Town's home FA Trophy defeat going ahead.

Tadcaster Albion's scheduled Evo-Stik League east division clash with Wisbech Town was postponed due to a frozen pitch, while Pickering Town's encounter at Gresley went the same way.

In the division above, Scarborough Athletic's match at Marine was also called off,

In the Northern Counties East League top flight, Harrogate Railway Athletic's trip to Garforth Town and Knaresborough Town's clash at Yorkshire Amateur were both postponed - as was Selby Town's away encounter at Rossington Main in division one.

Unfortunately for Harrogate Town, their FA Trophy last-16 meeting with Stockport County did go ahead, ending in a 4-2 defeat for the hosts.

A Jordan Keane own goal gave Simon Weaver's men the lead, in the 17th minute, but the Hatters roared back with four goals of their own either side of half-time.

Adam Thomas equalised in the 21st minute before Frank Mulhern's double sandwiched Matty Warburton's strike.

George Thomson netted an 88th minute consolation for Harrogate, who exited the competition.
