NICK Thompson's first-half goal was enough to net Pickering Town a 1-1 draw at Frickley Athletic on Saturday.

The Pikes sit 15th in the Evo-Stik League east division table following the encounter in West Yorkshire.

Thompson put the visitors ahead in the 24th minute before Frickley's Jacob Hazel equalised nine minutes later to ensure honours ended even.

Paul Marshall's men are back at Mill Lane next weekend when they play host to Stocksbridge Park Steels.

In the tier above, Scarborough Athletic claimed a 1-0 premier division victory over Warrington Town.

A crowd of 1,054 watched as James Walshaw's 51st minute strike proved to be the match-winner – leaving the Seadogs fifth in the table.

In division one, Selby Town were beaten 1-0 at Skegness Town, James Wroot's 10th minute goal proving the difference in a 1-0 defeat.

It was Jack Muldoon at the double as National League Harrogate Town netted a 2-1 FA Trophy victory at Dover Athletic.

Muldoon was on target in the 15th and 64th minutes of the second round clash in Kent as Town fought back after falling behind early on.
