A DEVASTATED family are appealing for the return of their beloved cat, which disappeared last month.
A male tabby cat called Tiny went missing from a house at Rudland Rigg, near Fadmoor, on December 14.
Owner Alyson Schofield said the family had struggled to celebrate Christmas without their pet, which they had had for about a year.
“We struggled to put our Christmas tree up. The children have not wanted to celebrate,” she said.
“We are absolutely devastated. He still hasn’t turned up.
“He’s a gorgeous, affectionate cat, only a year old. He was family and part of our family life.
“We are bereft and desperate to find him.
“It’s horrible not knowing where he is or what has happened to him.”
She said they have put up posters in the area and added: “The RSPCA asked us to ask people to check their sheds, outbuildings and greenhouses.”
She continued that “there is still hope yet” and the family is widening its search.
“We continue to put up posters, have contacted all local vets and are extending our search to rescue centres,” she said.
